Course Description

This two-hour workshop addresses the fundamental shift that happens when someone becomes responsible for other people's performance and equips participants with a practical leadership lens and concrete tools to navigate that shift effectively.

Learning Objectives:

  • Articulate the fundamental shift in how success is defined when one becomes responsible for others' performance.

  • Apply recognized professional effectiveness traits – inquisitiveness, personal character, duality, and savviness – to individual managerial context.

  • Use a situational leadership model to match leadership approach to the development level of individual team members.

  • Describe the role of “humble inquiry” in building trust and surfacing honest input.

  • Build a personal action plan organized around the first 30, 60, and 90 days in their managerial role.
